Born to Lead is a year-round extension of Boys State and Boys Nation that provides opportunities for rising seniors to compete for college scholarships and fundraising opportunities for American Legion departments.
Start by filling out the form above so we can send you program materials and next steps. Departments help to promote Born to Lead within their state, and rally posts, families, and schools behind delegates who participate.
Capital Bank provides the banking and fundraising infrastructure behind the program. Each challenge invites supporters to get behind delegates as they post and share. Funds raised stay local, supporting the American Legion department where the delegate participates.
Boys Nation and Boys State delegates take on the challenges and rally their community to vote: American Legion posts and departments, families, schools, and local communities interact with delegate’s challenge submission. The more their community interacts, the more likely their delegate is chosen as a scholarship recipient.
