Patrick van der Ham serves as Executive Vice President and Chief Deposit Officer at Capital Bank, where he is responsible for leading the bank’s deposit strategy and overseeing Treasury Management, Business Banking, specialty industry segments, including fiduciary, nonprofit, and political banking and Branch Administration. Since joining Capital Bank in April 2020, he has played a key role in driving deposit growth, strengthening client relationships, and expanding the bank’s commercial banking capabilities.

With more than 40 years of banking experience, Patrick has built a distinguished career focused on business development, relationship management, and franchise growth. Prior to joining Capital Bank, he served as Executive Vice President and Director of Business Development at Revere Bank and Monument Bank, where he was instrumental in building and scaling the organization’s deposit base and client relationships. His leadership has consistently contributed to sustained growth and long-term customer partnerships.

Patrick is deeply committed to community engagement and has served on the boards of several nonprofit organizations, including Second Chance Wildlife Center, where he held the role of Vice Chair. He is also a graduate of Leadership Montgomery’s Class of 2015.

He earned his degree in Economics from the University of Maryland and completed the National Consumer Lending School at the University of Oklahoma. Patrick is passionate about community banking and takes pride in helping businesses grow and mentoring the next generation of banking professionals.
