  • What do I do if I need to reset my password and can’t access Online Banking?

    Simply call 301-468-8848 during regular business hours and we’ll be happy to assist you. The “Forgot Password/PIN” option can also be used once you’ve entered your Access ID. Be sure to ask about other helpful features that Online Banking offers to make account access and navigation easier.

  • What are your hours of operation?

    Visit our “Locations” tab to view the open hours for each of our branches. Online & Mobile Banking offers 24/7 access to your account information over a secure Internet connection. You can find our Mobile Banking App in the App Store or the Google Play store by simply typing in “capital bank mobile cb mobile”. Be on the look-out for an app that resembles the image below.


  • Do you have ATMs? What type of transactions can be done at an ATM?

    Capital Bank has three ATMs at each branch office; the Church Street branch, Executive Boulevard Market Center, and Eye Street branch (visit our “Locations” tab for each branch’s operating hours).

    You can transfer funds between your accounts at an ATM, do balance inquiries as well as withdraw cash. As a benefit, you can get 4 non-Capital Bank ATM* withdrawals fee-free every month.

    The ATM machine at the Eye Street branch accepts deposits. The other ATM machines at the other branches will be updated shortly to accept deposits. Please check in with the branches.

  • How can I make deposits on the road?

    If you have a business account or a personal bank account with Capital Bank, you can make check deposits from anywhere using your mobile device. You can find our Mobile Banking App in the App Store or the Google Play store by simply typing in “capital bank mobile cb mobile”. Be on the look-out for an app that resembles the image below.


    With the Capital Bank CB Mobile app, users can take a picture of their check and use that image to directly deposit the check to their bank account, whether it is a business account or a personal account. With mobile deposit, users may receive next day credit deposits as long as the deposits are made prior to 5:00 p.m. ET, Monday through Friday.1

    If you are a business banking customer, you can also access Remote Deposit, a convenient option for businesses that process many checks. Remote Deposit is a small electronic check-processing scanner that can sit anywhere in your office. We will work with you to load the software, so you can begin using Remote Deposit immediately.

    Personal banking customers can also enjoy the convenience of mobile banking, including funds transfers, balance inquiries, and mobile deposits.

  • What makes Capital Bank’s commercial loan services different from similar products at other banks?

  • If I have a question or problem with my Capital Bank checking account, debit card, or other banking service, who do I contact for help?

    Click Contact Us or call our main number at 301-468-8848. During business hours, you can easily reach a live person who can direct you to the right person. You can also email your question/concern to Please be careful about sending confidential personal and account information in an email. Email is not secure until it reaches Capital Bank.

  • Does Capital Bank offer a full range of online banking services?

    Yes, we offer Online & Mobile Banking with Bill Pay for both individuals and businesses, at no charge.

  • Does Capital Bank offer night drop depository services?

    Yes, we have night drop depository services at two locations — the Executive Boulevard branch and the Eye Street branch and it will soon be available at our Church Street branch location. Visit “Locations” which can be found in the bottom part of the website for each branch’s address and driving directions.

  • Who do I call if I lose my debit card?

    Contact our Cardholder Services Center at 800-500-1044 to report a lost or stolen debit card. If you need a new card reissued to you, contact our Operations Department at 301-468-8848 during our normal business hours of Monday through Thursday 9am – 4pm and Friday 9am to 5pm.

  • Does Capital Bank offer residential home loans and lines of credit?

  • Does Capital Bank offer card services?

    Yes. Capital Bank offers the OpenSky® Secured Visa® Credit Card through its OpenSky division. The card allows you to establish credit quickly and easily, and helps you build credit at your own pace.
